Cockroaches are disease-carrying insects. They multiply at astounding numbers and infest kitchens in the home. Female cockroaches produce one egg capsule every 25 days and each capsule can contain up to 50 eggs! This means that over 400 young cockroaches can be produced from one female in a six-month period! They prefer damp warm hiding places and feed on human foods. There are five types of cockroaches in the US. They are the German Roach, the American Roach, the Oriental Roach, the Smoky Brown Roach and the Brown banded Roach. The most common Cockroach in Wisconsin is the German cockroach.
